Mentees – Stepping In

External Opportunity

Stepping In is a tried and tested training and mentoring programme for a cohort of up to 12 mentees / creative practitioners from Welsh speaking and underrepresented communities in Wales.

Stepping In has been designed by Wales Arts Health & Wellbeing Network in consultation with the sector in response to the lack of diversity within the arts and health creative workforce. This programme will help build the skills, knowledge and experience required to deliver projects in arts and health settings, through training, shadowing a live project, mentoring and peer support. Hear what our previous mentees said about the Stepping In pilot in this film.

Stepping In will be delivered in partnership with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Fran Wen, Pontio, Theatr Cymru and Denbighshire Leisure Ltd.

The programme will support participants to take part in a week-long intensive training programme, shadow an experienced artist on a live project in a health or community setting for up to 10 days, and receive mentoring sessions, a bursary and wrap-around support, including supervision and peer support.
