SUMMARY:Text Analysis in Practice
DESCRIPTION:Most appropriate for directors\, writers and actors\, this in-person workshop will run you through the foundations of script analysis and how to explore analysing text from a dramaturgical perspective. \n\n\n\nMany artists “do” dramaturgy without realising it – analysing text to pull out key themes\, examine the inquiries presented\, and build a creative concept that helps audiences work through those questions. But what would it mean to make those dramaturgical decisions from a more informed space? \n\n\n\nLed by Director of Stiwdio Clwyd and award-winning dramaturg Suzanne Bell\, you’ll leave this workshop with some clear techniques for how to approach your next script and what questions to ask to ensure your text analysis is rigorous. \n\n\n\n\nSign Up\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuzanne Bell has over 20 years professional experience working as a Dramaturg in new writing and artist development in theatres and supporting the development of artists across the UK and internationally.
