Local Artist Network

A space for North Wales based theatre-makers to connect, collaborate, and support one another.

“You can survive as a Welsh artist, living and working in Wales!” Director and member of Stiwdio Clwyd’s Local Artists Network

The Local Artists Network is an opportunity for theatre-makers based close to Theatr Clwyd to come together to build a strong artistic community where ideas, experiences, and inspiration can be shared. Whether you’re an actor, writer, director, or creative practitioner, join us to meet like-minded artists and grow together.

Throughout the year, we will be hosting events, talks, networking opportunities and development workshops at Theatr Clwyd with the aim of nurturing the local theatre ecology to thrive. These events are curated in response to in-depth consultation with the Network. They take the form of the following:

Local Artist Events – a varied programme of in-person workshops and networking sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of theatre-making.

Actor’s Gyms – regular curated spaces for actors at all stages of experience to explore, play and grow their acting muscle.

Producer Surgeries – dedicated 1-2-1 time with a Theatr Clwyd Producer to discuss logistical or practical barriers to bringing your projects to life.
