Write With… is an on-line communal work session to nurture creativity, carve out time to be a playwright and hold yourself accountable to your goals as a professional playwright.
You can join us at home, on the train, in a café – anywhere that you might carve out time to be a writer.
These sessions are not an opportunity to share work, receive feedback on your work or pitch ideas to either Sherman Theatre or Theatr Clwyd – it is to focus on the process of writing, build community and find support with fellow playwrights.
This session of Write With… will be led by Anna Jordan.
Anna is a writer for stage and screen, a director and facilitator. Theatre credits include: Jack and the Beanstalk (Stratford East), Pop Music (Paines Plough / Birmingham Rep / Hull Truck Theatre), Mother Courage and Her Children (Royal Exchange / Headlong), We Anchor In Hope (Bunker Theatre), The Unreturning (Frantic Assembly / National Tour / Stratford East). Anna won the Bruntwood Prize in 2013 for her play YEN, which has had productions at The Royal Exchange, Royal Court and MCC New York as well as several international productions. It was also shortlisted for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. TV credits include: Succession, Killing Eve, Becoming Elizabeth and the TV adaptation of One Day. She has recently finished her debut feature film. Anna also teaches acting and playwriting. She has worked as a mentor for young people, writers and actors and has taught at several drama schools. Anna runs regular events, workshops and Creative Check-ins through her company, Without a Paddle Theatre.
Write With… is delivered in partnership with Sherman Theatre.
